We’re looking for people to provide round-the-clock customer support for our hosting services – domains, webhosting and server hosting. The work involves day and night shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Of course, this position can also be a stepping stone toward other roles – developer, Linux, hardware or network administrator.

Place of work: DC1, Hluboká nad Vltavou
Working hours: Full-time, 12-hour shifts (day/night)
Start date: Immediately
Cooperation: employment contract

Customer Support Specialist job description

  • communicating with customers via email and other communication channels
  • answering questions about our services
  • solving basic technical problems
  • helping customers set up hosting services
  • two-shift 24/7 operation – day and night shifts including weekends and public holidays (12-hour shifts, 6:00-18:00 and 18:00-6:00)
  • working with technicians and developers

What we require from the Customer Support Specialist

  • secondary education, preferably in a technical field
  • very good PC skills
  • basic knowledge of hardware
  • basic knowledge of computer networks
  • general knowledge of the internet, webhosting, databases, domains, DNS, IP, etc. (beyond user level)
  • basic knowledge of programming in PHP, MySQL, HTML – you need to be able to find your way around PHP code and solve basic problems
  • basic knowledge of the Linux operating system
  • willingness to keep learning in IT and improve your qualifications
  • at least a passive knowledge of English
  • good communication skills
  • a clean criminal record
  • great enthusiasm for work
  • a proactive attitude and initiative

Nice to have

  • advanced programming skills (e.g. bash, PHP, Java, SQL)
  • knowledge of some PHP-based CMS systems – e.g. Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, Prestashop, etc.
  • advanced knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration
  • advanced knowledge of computer networks
  • active knowledge of English or other languages

Salary range (base salary)

  • above-average pay, depending on experience
  • plus possible monthly bonuses for completed tasks
  • profit sharing going forward (for example, up to 140 000 CZK net in 2021, and more in the future)
  • after the initial training period, salary based on your abilities and skills
  • pay of up to several times the base salary
