Network Administrator (mid-level / senior)
As a network administrator, you’ll be responsible not only for the entire internal VEDOS network, but also for the WEDOS Global network, which spans the whole world. We’re looking for someone with a proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new things.
Network Administrator job description
- administering and maintaining the internal and global WEDOS network infrastructure
- implementing and managing routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
- configuring and managing VLAN and other network services
- working with other teams to ensure network security and high availability
- working with technologies from HPE, Cisco, Arista, Juniper
- occasional support with Linux server administration
What we require from the Network Administrator
- secondary or university education in a technical field
- excellent knowledge of Linux, preferably the Debian, Ubuntu or CentOS distributions
- advanced knowledge of OSPF, BGP, VLAN
- experience with technologies from HPE, Cisco, Arista, Juniper
- basic programming skills (e.g. bash, PHP, Java)
- advanced knowledge of networking (TCP / IP, DNS)
- full-time work (the job cannot be done remotely or part-time)
- knowledge of other server technologies
- analytical skills
- conversational English
- ability to work independently
- great enthusiasm for work and dedication
- a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Nice to have
- advanced knowledge of UNIX / Linux server administration
- advanced knowledge of computer networks and the TCP / IP protocol
Salary range (base salary)
- above-average pay, depending on experience
- plus possible monthly bonuses for completed tasks
- profit sharing going forward (for example, up to 140 000 CZK net in 2021, and more in the future)
- after the initial training period, salary based on your abilities and skills
- pay of up to several times the base salary
