We’re looking for an experienced DevOps Specialist to join our team and take part in developing, maintaining and managing the infrastructure of our internal services. This position requires broad knowledge and skills in modern technologies, including GitLab, GitLab Runner, Harbor, k8s, Kubefarm, Docker/Containerd, Cilium, Kaniko, Grafana, Victoria Metrics, Proxmox and Opennebula. As part of our team, you’ll get to work with the latest technologies and tools. We embrace the Infrastructure as Code (IaC) philosophy, which means your contribution will be key in designing, building and managing infrastructure resources through code.

DevOps Specialist job description

  • managing and developing the company infrastructure
  • building Docker images
  • writing and modifying Helm Charts
  • designing new pipelines and modifying existing ones
  • managing and developing CI/CD
  • taking part in Kubernetes administration
  • developing monitoring applications
  • communicating with external and internal teams
  • designing and implementing new tools and technologies

What we require from a DevOps Specialist at WEDOS

  • secondary or university education in a technical field
  • understanding of how Git works and how to use it, not just the basics
  • knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Debian)
  • deep understanding of application protocols (HTTP, SMTP, FTP, SFTP, etc.)
  • experience operating and recovering distributed file systems and network storage
  • experience setting up authentication and access control systems (FreeIPA, Keycloak)
  • proven ability to build backup systems using available resources
  • programming skills in JS/Go/Rust/Python
  • conversational English
  • ability to work independently
  • great enthusiasm for work and dedication
  • a proactive attitude and willingness to learn

Nice to have

  • advanced knowledge of UNIX / Linux server administration
  • advanced knowledge of Linux (RHEL, Debian)

Salary range (base salary)

  • above-average pay, depending on experience
  • plus possible monthly bonuses for completed tasks
  • profit sharing going forward (for example, up to 140 000 CZK net in 2021, and more in the future)
  • after the initial training period, salary based on your abilities and skills
  • pay of up to several times the base salary
